Bold Donut's mission is to empower organisations to engage and activate their audiences to adopt sustainable behaviours through playful, positive, and planet friendly games.
We develop high quality digital games that have sustainability knowledge embedded into every aspect of the experience from the gameplay, the rewards, and the storyline.
We work with organisations that have an existing audience that they want to engage with on specific sustainability topics like waste segregation or sustainable energy behaviours.
Our games can be white-labelled to suit the organisation's brand, learning objectives, and relevant local regulations (e.g. what bins are available or what are the local priorities for household electricity use).
We provide detailed engagement and learning insight reports for organisations to understand, and report on, their impact.
Our recent work includes national campaigns on waste segregation with MyWaste.ie (the Irish Government agency for waste) and electricity demand flexibility and sustainable energy use with ESB Networks (the electricity distribution grid operator in Ireland).
We also work with corporates on employee engagement and the University sector working with students and staff on large campuses.
Bold Donut was founded in 2022 in Dublin, Ireland, by Kate Williams and Nathan Cruz Coulson who wanted to channel their passion for sustainability and their love for fun games into a business with real world impact.
