Ireland generates thousands of tonnes of e-waste every year. Most of it ends up in drawers, landfill or exported for processing elsewhere. Techstuff.ie exists to change that.
We are Ireland's first circular tech platform covering the full device lifecycle reuse, repair, refurbish, resell and responsibly recycle. We run a peer-to-peer marketplace where individuals and verified repair and refurbishment shops can buy and sell pre-owned devices, alongside a directory of repair shops across Ireland and links to responsible recycling centres nationwide.
We are also developing TechStuff4Schools, a community device collection and fundraising initiative for schools currently piloting in Clare. Parents, students and local businesses donate old phones, laptops and tablets. Usable devices are resold and funds returned to the school. Non-usable devices are responsibly recycled with CO2 and environmental impact data captured and shared with the school community. Schools raise funds. Communities reduce e-waste. Every collection tells a real impact story.
Techstuff.ie is built on the belief that keeping technology in circulation for longer is one of the simplest and most impactful things we can do for the environment and that making it easy, local and rewarding for communities is how we make it happen at scale.
While we are at the very beginning of our journey and just launching our new website. We are actively looking to collaborate with cash-for-tech buyers, certified WEEE recyclers and others working in the circular economy and e-waste space. If you think there is a conversation worth having, we would love to hear from you.
